On November 21, 2025, Scuola Piccola Zattere presents R.S.V.P. Résonnez, S’il Vous Plaît, a group exhibition bringing together works and projects by Aliaskar Abarkas, Nabil Aniss, Diana Anselmo, and Lemonot & Maria Eugenia Frizzele — all participants in the residency and fellowship program the institution promoted during its first year of activity.
Installations and sculptures, video and sound works — all newly commissioned productions — reflect multiple individual and collective trajectories that have alternated or temporarily intertwined, engaging in dialogue with One Year Score, the thematic program proposed by the Scuola.

The title refers to the RSVP Cycles theory developed by Lawrence and Anna Halprin, a system that emphasizes the circular and collaborative dimension of creation, formulating an idea of process based on continuous dialogue and an attitude of listening, beginning from the notion of the score as both structure and shared framework. An idea that resonates with Scuola Piccola’s research, which supports artistic experimentation and the collective production of knowledge.

The play on words in the title evokes a choral dynamic that runs through the practices of the four participating artists. Aliaskar Abarkas investigates the relational potential of sound through a project inspired by Vivaldi, where the harmony between individual and collective unfolds in a sonic and visual installation. Nabil Aniss, in his video installation Where Architecture Ends, explores the mystical institution of Zaouia as a space of retreat and resistance, where the body becomes a site of spiritual and political transformation. Diana Anselmo, with Pas Moi, overturns the history of phonation and sound devices from a Deaf perspective, inviting us to recognise the value of different forms of listening, expression and relationship. Lemonot & Maria Eugenia Frizzele, instead, transform the former military infirmary of Sant’Anna in Venice into a shared research platform, documenting participatory practices and collective processes of civic imagination.

The opening will feature a sound performance by Aliaskar Abarkas with Ali Choupani and will also mark the beginning of Scuola Piccola’s 2025–2026 research program.
