Residenza breve
See You in Space is the second performance study for a concert-performance for electronics, harmonica, and voice, bringing the twilight of an iconography into sound and image.
The figure of the cowboy — a solitary hero, emblem of an epic of conquest and expansion, but also an intimate myth rooted in childhood, play, and dress-up, internalised before it could even be understood — embodies this iconography, through which its twilight is traversed and ultimately left behind. Step by step, the cowboy composes a farewell serenade to the moon, which watches him disappear into the darkness before the new dawn. He walks towards it, the breath of his steps flowing through the harmonica, weightless, as if following the thread of its reflection so as not to lose his way.
During the residency, this terminal image will be explored through improvisational practice between gesture, microphone, harmonica, costume, and live electronics, in order to unravel the dramaturgical knots of a work that, at its core, remains a farewell: a pathetic and romantic celebration of what once was, a necessary letting go before a new light.
