In March 2025, Ludovica Carbotta, in collaboration with art historian Vittoria Martini and photographer and assistant director Jacopo Tomassini, led the workshop I Come From Outside of Myself, dedicated to the development of an initial concept for a film script. Inspired by the arguments put forward in Against Borders: The Case for Abolition by Gracie Mae Bradley and Luke De Noronha, the workshop explored questions of identity and universalism through a fictional scenario set in the Giardini della Biennale, using the idea of a borderless world as the starting point for developing a narrative proposal.
