Controincantesimo is an instrumental divertissement by kNN. In a performance practice balanced between real-time and acousmatic, the rhetorical mania of the Neapolitan composer takes on a chamber music form this time, weaving imagined love letters, slow-motion choirs, and relics forgotten in a chamber of ubiquity.

kNN is Renato Grieco, a composer and sound artist active between Naples and Salzburg. His practice weaves electroacoustic composition, imaginary lutherie, and performance as tools of acoustic evocation and narrative speculation. Rooted in the methodologies of musique concrète and hörspiel, his work shapes sonic habitats where ancient instruments, residual vocalities, and sculptural spatialities coexist in an exploration of hauntology, speculative folklore, and the politics of listening.
He has presented his projects in international contexts such as the Gwangju Biennale, Transmediale x CTM, Venice Biennale Dance and Cinema, LUFF Festival, Gessnerallee, L’Arsenic, Fondazione Zegna, OGR Torino, Fondazione ICA, La Becque, and Galeria Municipal do Porto. He has co-curated the festivals La Digestion and Musica Sanae.
Since 2022, he has been a doctoral candidate in composition at Universität Mozarteum, conducting research titled Phonofagia, dedicated to opera and porn.
His practice is documented in publications, radio productions, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
