Oltreforma presents MOTI, a workshop for children aged 6 to 11 dedicated to the theme of movement, inspired by the works of Rachel Youn on view at Scuola Piccola Zattere.

Through her kinetic sculptures, the artist combines devices linked to the world of wellness, artificial floral elements, and moving mechanisms, transforming everyday gestures and behaviours into surprising installations. Starting from the observation of her works, the workshop invites participants to explore movement as a bodily experience, both individual and collective.

After observing and analysing the movements of the sculptures, children will be invited to reproduce them through their own bodies and to recognise the gestures that belong to their everyday lives. Movement will then be transformed into signs and shapes, giving rise to a collective artistic composition. In the final phase, each participant will choose a movement and translate it into a small kinetic installation, made using recovered materials and no-longer-used objects, to which new life will be given.
