During the Open Day on 23 November 2024, Diana Anselmo presented the lecture-performance Self-Portrait in Three Acts (2021). Developed during the artist’s fellowship at Scuola Piccola Zattere from January to April 2025, the work explores the theme of the gaze through three perspectives: one’s own gaze, the gaze imposed upon oneself, and the reclaimed gaze. Through these shifting viewpoints, the performance reflects on the experience of the disabled body and on the possibility of redefining personal narratives and identities.
