On 10 April 2025, Luca Scarlini, writer and playwright, led a performative walk along the Zattere, bringing to life the main characters from his book Nuova Guida Sentimentale di Venezia (Marsilio, 2024). Written after many years of research, the work situates in space and time numerous important figures who passed through Venice and left their mark on its history, including Eleonora Duse, Rainer Maria Rilke, Luigi Nono (grandfather, painter, and grandson, composer), Luigi Milesi, and many others who lived in or left their mark on the Zattere, a part of the city that is renamed “la Vasca” in the book.
